The Problem

Why most Sydney trade websites miss the local job.

Sydney is too big for one homepage. A fencer in Penrith, a painter on the Northern Beaches and a bathroom renovator in the Inner West are all chasing homeowners who search by trade and suburb.

Most agencies quote $3,000 to $15,000 for a tradie website, often with 50% upfront before you see a page. So plenty of Sydney tradies settle for a five-page template. That gives Google one page and a list of suburbs, not a page for Cronulla, Mona Vale or Glenmore Park.

NSW adds a rule of its own. Ads for residential building work and specialist work have to carry your licence number, and NSW Fair Trading lists the internet as advertising. A website built without it is an ad without it.

Then there are the lead platforms. hipages and Airtasker sell the same job to other tradies, so you pay for the lead and then fight on price.

Ampliia builds a 30+ page site with a page for every service and every suburb you work, your licence details on every page, and quote requests going straight to your phone.

The Sydney Market

Sydney renovates, and the fringe keeps growing.

High land prices keep Sydney owners renovating instead of moving, and the city's population growth sits on its outer edges. Here is what the published numbers say.

~50%

HIA expects NSW renovation investment to outpace Victoria's by nearly 50% in 2026, and says the high cost of land in Sydney is pushing buyers towards renovating.

$2.1b

Spent renovating NSW inner suburban heritage areas and popular coastal locations in 2025-26, almost half (48%) of all renovation spending in the state.

+75,200

People added to Greater Sydney in 2024-25 (1.4%). The biggest gains in NSW were in Sydney's outer north-west and outer south-west, led by Box Hill and Nelson at 17%.

Suburb Pages

The Sydney suburbs our Builds target.

Every Build gets its own page for each suburb you actually work in, and those pages live on your site, not ours. Western Sydney is where our Sydney Fence Group Build already has suburb pages. The other two show how we map a coastal or Shire patch.

NSW Licence Rules

What NSW Fair Trading expects on your website.

In NSW, the building trade advertising rules cover the internet as well as print, TV and radio, so your website has to meet them too.

  • ·Your name or registered business name and your contractor licence number must be shown in all advertising. NSW Fair Trading also asks for the licence category of work and a business phone number. We put all of it on every page of your Build.
  • ·You need a contractor licence to carry out, advertise or contract for residential building work over $5,000 in labour and materials, including GST. Specialist work, such as electrical, plumbing, draining, gasfitting and air conditioning, needs one at any value.
  • ·Leaving those details off an ad carries a maximum penalty of $1,100 for an individual and $2,200 for a company under the Home Building Regulation 2014. Because every page carries them, there is nothing for you to remember.
  • ·You can't state a price that is only part of the cost unless the full single price is also clearly stated. If your Build shows prices, we write them as full prices.

Structure

What goes into a Sydney Build.

Feature 01

Dedicated Service Pages

Every service gets its own page. For a fencer that means Colorbond, timber, pool fencing and gates as separate pages, not one crowded list.

Feature 02

Sydney Suburb Pages

A page for each suburb you work, whether that's Penrith and Jordan Springs or Manly and Cronulla. Written for that area, so a local search lands on the right page.

Feature 03

Quote Form on Every Page

A mobile-first form that sends job details straight to your phone. No platform in the middle selling the same job to other tradies.

Feature 04

Tap-to-Call

A phone button on every page, so a homeowner in Dee Why or St Marys can ring you in one tap.

Feature 05

NSW Licence & Real Proof

Your NSW contractor licence number, licence category and business phone on every page, next to photos of your real jobs.

Feature 06
