Why most Northern Rivers trade websites miss the local job.
The Northern Rivers isn't one town. A painter in Brunswick Heads might quote in Byron Bay on Monday, Lennox Head on Wednesday and out at Uki on Friday. Homeowners search by trade and town: painter Bangalow, electrician Ballina, roofer Tweed Heads.
A five-page site with the towns listed in the footer gives Google one page for all of those searches. Most agencies quote $3,000 to $15,000 for anything bigger, often with 50% upfront before you see a page.
The coast is hard on houses, and homeowners know it. Salt air, strong sun and humidity make coastal repaints, deck oiling and mould treatments jobs of their own, and people look for a tradie who explains how they handle them. A page for each service is where that explanation lives.
Inland, the 2022 floods are still shaping the work. Homeowners in the Resilient Homes Program have until December 2028 to finish raising or retrofitting their homes, and every one of those jobs starts with a quote.
Ampliia builds a 30+ page site with a page for every service and every town you work, your NSW licence details on every page, and quote requests going straight to your phone.
A coast that keeps growing, and an inland rebuild.
The coastal towns are growing faster than regional NSW as a whole, and the flood rebuild inland still has years to run. Here is what the published numbers say.
Byron Shire grew by 697 people (1.8%) in 2024-25, twice the 0.9% growth across the rest of NSW outside Sydney.

We don't publish suburb pages for ourselves. These are real pages on the Maxson Painting site, grouped the way the region splits: the Byron coast, Ballina and the Lismore hinterland, and the Tweed.

What NSW Fair Trading expects on a Northern Rivers website.
NSW building trade advertising rules cover the internet as well as print, so your website has to meet them, the same as the sign on your ute.
- ·Your name or registered business name and your contractor licence number must be shown in all advertising. NSW Fair Trading also asks for the licence category of work and a business phone number. We put all of it on every page of your Build.
- ·Residential building work over $5,000 in labour and materials, including GST, needs a contractor licence to carry out, advertise or contract for. Specialist work, such as electrical, plumbing, draining, gasfitting and air conditioning, needs one at any value.
- ·Leaving those details off an ad carries a maximum penalty of $1,100 for an individual and $2,200 for a company under the Home Building Regulation 2014. Because every page carries them, there is nothing for you to remember.
- ·Working over the border? Tweed Heads sits on the Queensland line, and building work in Queensland comes under the QBCC. It needs a QBCC licence over $3,300, and the QBCC counts your website as advertising. If you take jobs in Coolangatta or on the Gold Coast, check with the QBCC before you advertise there.
This is general information, not legal advice. Check with NSW Fair Trading, and with the QBCC for work in Queensland. NSW Fair Trading → · NSW licence rules guide →
What goes into a Northern Rivers Build.
Dedicated Service Pages
Coastal repaints, deck oiling, roof restoration and mould treatments each get their own page, the way the Maxson Painting Build is set up. No crowded one-page list.
Town Pages Across the Region
A page for each town you work, from Tweed Heads to Ballina and out to Lismore and Uki. Written for that town, so a local search lands on the right page.

A mobile-first form that sends job details straight to your phone. No platform in the middle selling the same job to other tradies.
Tap-to-Call
A phone button on every page, so a homeowner in Bangalow or Pottsville can ring you in one tap.
NSW Licence & Real Proof
Your NSW contractor licence number, licence category and business phone on every page, next to photos of your real jobs.
