The Problem

Sydney homeowners search for the fence, then the suburb.

Nobody types fencer Sydney and stops there. They search Colorbond fencing Glenmore Park, pool fencing Jordan Springs or a sliding gate in Emu Plains. A five-page site with one Services page gives Google nothing to match those searches with.

Fencing in Western Sydney also splits by property. A boundary replacement in Kingswood, a pool fence in a new Jordan Springs estate and chainwire security fencing around a St Marys business are three different jobs for three different buyers. Each one wants its own page.

Lead platforms sell that same job to other fencers, so you pay for the enquiry and still race on price. A 30+ page site sends the quote request to your phone and nobody else's.

NSW Proof

The Sydney fencing Build: Sydney Fence Group, Penrith.

We built Sydney Fence Group a 30-page website: 9 service pages, 8 suburb pages across Penrith and Western Sydney, and 4 local guides. Every fence type has its own page with real job photos, and the quote form asks for the fence type, the length in metres and whether there is an existing fence, so the enquiry arrives ready to measure up.

NSW Licence Rules

What NSW Fair Trading expects on a fencing website.

NSW Fair Trading lists the internet as advertising, so the rules for the signage on your ute apply to your website too.

  • ·Your name or registered business name and your contractor licence number must be shown in all advertising. Fair Trading also asks for your licence category and a business phone number. We put all of it on every page of your Build.
  • ·A contractor licence is needed to do, advertise or contract for residential building work over $5,000 in labour and materials, including GST. Check with NSW Fair Trading that your licence category covers every fence and gate you advertise.
  • ·Leaving licence details off an ad carries a maximum penalty of $1,100 for an individual and $2,200 for a company under the Home Building Regulation 2014.
  • ·If your pages show prices, a part price can't be stated unless the full single price is clearly stated too. We write any price on your Build as a full price.
