Why most Canberra trade websites miss the local job.
Canberra is a city of districts, and Canberrans know their suburbs by name. A new home owner in Taylor, a renovator in Weston and a landlord in Kambah all search by trade and suburb: plumber Gungahlin, electrician Woden, painter Kambah.
A five-page site with a suburb list in the footer gives Google one page for every one of those searches. The bigger option is a typical agency at $3,000 to $15,000, often with 50% upfront before you see a page.
The new suburbs keep coming. Taylor grew by 700 people in 2024-25, the most of any area in the ACT, ahead of Phillip and Denman Prospect. Plenty of Canberra tradies also work over the border in Queanbeyan, Jerrabomberra and Googong, which sit in New South Wales.
The ACT has a rule of its own. It is an offence to advertise a construction occupation service without your name as recorded on your licence, your licence number and, for a company, its ACN.
Ampliia builds a 30+ page site with a page for every service and every Canberra suburb you work, your licence details on every page, and quote requests going straight to your phone.
New suburbs in the north and west.
The ACT keeps adding people, and most of them land in its newest suburbs. Here is what the ABS figures say.
The ACT grew by 6,200 people (1.3%) in 2024-25. The biggest gains were in Taylor (up 700), Phillip (580) and Denman Prospect (560).

We have no Canberra Clients yet, so these are not live pages. They show how we would map Gungahlin, the Molonglo Valley and the south, over the border included for you: a page for each suburb you actually take work in, on your site, not ours.

What Access Canberra expects on your website.
The ACT's licensing law covers every way you offer your services, from business cards and ute signage to radio ads. A website offers your services the same way.
- ·It is an offence to advertise a service in a construction occupation without your name as recorded on your licence and your licence number, under section 83 of the Construction Occupations (Licensing) Act 2004. We put both on every page.
- ·If you trade as a company, the ad must also show its ACN. We add it to the footer and beside the quote form.
- ·You need a licence to provide a service in a licensed construction occupation, such as building, plumbing or electrical work. The maximum penalty for leaving the details off an ad is 5 penalty units.
- ·Working over the border? Queanbeyan, Jerrabomberra and Googong are in New South Wales, where residential building work over $5,000 needs an NSW contractor licence and your licence number has to be in your advertising. Check with NSW Fair Trading too.

What goes into a Canberra Build.
Dedicated Service Pages
Bathrooms, heating and cooling, switchboard upgrades or landscaping each get their own page and quote form. No crowded one-page list of everything you do.
Canberra Suburb Pages
A page for each suburb you work, from Taylor and Casey to Kambah and Queanbeyan. Written for that area, so a local search lands on the right page.
Quote Form on Every Page
A mobile-first form that sends job details straight to your phone. No platform in the middle selling the same job to other tradies.
Tap-to-Call
A phone button on every page, so a homeowner in Whitlam or Wanniassa can ring you in one tap.
ACT Licence & Real Proof
The name on your licence, your licence number and your ACN if you are a company, on every page, next to photos of your real jobs.

Questions Canberra trade businesses ask us.
A Canberra tradie website with Ampliia costs $3,000 once-off, then $0 a month. A typical agency charges $3,000 to $15,000, often with 50% upfront. Your $1,000 Deposit starts the Build, your Preview is ready in 72 hours (3 business days), and the $2,000 Balance is only due on Approval.
Yes. Ampliia builds for tradies anywhere in Australia, 100% remotely. We have no Canberra Clients yet, so the proof on this page is our Builds in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria. It starts with a 15-minute Discovery Call, and you review every page of the finished site on a private Preview link.
Yes. In the ACT it is an offence to advertise a construction occupation service without your name as recorded on your licence and your licence number, plus the ACN if you trade as a company. A website advertises your services, so we put all three on every page. This is general information, so check with Access Canberra.
Yes. Suburb pages come from where you take work, not where the border sits. A Build can have pages for Taylor and Kambah and for Queanbeyan and Googong. Work over the border falls under NSW rules, so if you hold an NSW licence we show those details on your site as well.
Your Preview is ready within 72 hours (3 business days) of your $1,000 Deposit and details arriving. We make changes until you are happy with every page. Once you approve it and pay the $2,000 Balance, we connect your domain and the site is usually live the same day. After that it costs $0 a month.
