Northern Rivers homeowners search for the job, then the town.
A weatherboard repaint in Byron Bay, a deck re-oil in Bangalow and a mould treatment before an interior repaint in Lismore are three different searches. Salt air, strong sun and humidity are hard on coastal houses, so homeowners look for a painter who explains how they handle them, on a page about that job.
Inland, homes raised or retrofitted under the Resilient Homes Program still need painting when the builders finish. A five-page site with the towns listed in the footer gives Google one page for all of those searches, from Tweed Heads down to Ballina.
Lead platforms sell the same repaint to other painters, so you pay for the enquiry and still race on price. A 30+ page site you own sends the quote request to your phone and nobody else's.
The Northern Rivers painting proof: Maxson Painting, Brunswick Heads.
We built Maxson Painting a 37-page website: 8 service pages and 13 suburb pages across Byron Shire, Ballina, Lismore and the Tweed. Exterior and interior painting, roof restoration, deck and timber coatings, mould and biocide treatments and lead paint removal each have their own page, and a mobile call bar keeps tap-to-call on every page.

A growing coast, and an inland rebuild with years to run.
Byron Shire is growing at twice the rate of regional NSW, and flood-affected homes inland have until December 2028 to finish their works. Both end in painting jobs.
Byron Shire grew by 697 people (1.8%) in 2024-25, twice the 0.9% growth across the rest of NSW outside Sydney.

NSW building trade advertising rules cover the internet as well as print, so your website has to meet them, the same as the sign on your ute.
- ·Residential painting over $5,000 in labour and materials needs an NSW contractor licence. Stand-alone internal paintwork has been exempt since 2015, so check which of your jobs the licence covers.
- ·Your name or registered business name and your contractor licence number must be shown in all advertising. NSW Fair Trading also asks for the licence category of work and a business phone number. We put all of it on every page of your Build.
- ·Leaving those details off an ad carries a maximum penalty of $1,100 for an individual and $2,200 for a company under the Home Building Regulation 2014.
- ·Working over the border? Tweed Heads sits on the Queensland line, and building work in Queensland comes under the QBCC. It needs a QBCC licence over $3,300, and the QBCC counts your website as advertising. If you take jobs in Coolangatta or on the Gold Coast, check with the QBCC before you advertise there.
