Which suburbs should get a page on your website?
Not every suburb you could drive to. Rank them on four things: how close they are to the yard, what homes there are worth, how much renovation work gets approved there and where your best jobs already come from. Then give pages to the top of the list, inside the distance you will actually drive. Paste your suburbs below.

Suburb S (14.3), Suburb W (11.6), Suburb V (7.3). Add them once the pages above each have something true to say.
Suburb X (52 min), Suburb Y (58 min), Suburb Z (65 min). No page, unless you would happily take the job.
Every score comes from the numbers you type. Nothing is sent or saved. It tells you which suburbs to write pages for, not how any page will rank.

It is the method we use to choose a Client's suburb pages. Closeness first, because a job an hour away eats the profit. Then the suburbs where the homes and the renovation work are worth chasing, and the ones that already call you.
Free, public and the same for every suburb.
- Drive time
- Google Maps, from the yard, set to leave at 7am on a weekday. That is when you actually drive it, not at midnight on empty roads.
- Median house price
- Any property site's suburb profile, as long as you use the same site for every suburb. The planner compares your suburbs with each other, so the numbers only have to be like for like.
- Renovation approvals
- The ABS Building Approvals, Australia release has a free SA2 data cube for each state. Use the column "Value of alterations & additions including conversions to residential building" for 2025-26, in millions. An SA2 generally has 3,000 to 25,000 people, and in the cities it often matches one suburb. Where an SA2 covers two suburbs, give both the same figure.
- Past jobs
- Your own invoices or job software, the last two years, counted by suburb. It is the one number nobody else has.
Close and busy beats big and far.
The planner opens with 26 made-up suburbs. On a 45 min limit, 3 drop out past the drive, 20 get a page and 3 wait for later. Suburb X has the dearest homes on the list and still gets no page: it is 52 min from the yard.
The example suburbs and numbers are made up, so no real suburb is described. Run it with your own yard and your own list.
Each suburb page needs something true about that suburb.
Google's spam policy says doorway abuse is "when sites or pages are created to rank for specific, similar search queries", including "pages targeted at specific regions or cities that funnel users to one page". A page that only swaps the suburb name is that pattern. So the planner gives you a short list, not every suburb on the map, and each page on it should carry something real: a job you did there, the kind of homes you see, how far it is from the yard.
It is also why the pages belong on your site and not ours. Ampliia does not work out of your suburbs, you do. Google lets a Business Profile list up to 20 service areas within about 2 hours' drive. Suburb pages on your own site cover the suburbs you choose, and you own them outright.
Questions tradies ask about suburb pages.
As many as you can make useful, inside the distance you will actually drive. The $3,000 Build is 30+ pages, with a page for every service and every suburb you work in. A page for a suburb you would turn a job down in is wasted, so start at the top of this list and work down.
Size tells you how many homes there are, not which jobs you want. A small suburb ten minutes from the yard, with high house prices and a lot of renovation work approved, can be worth more than a big one an hour away. The planner weighs all four things, so the closest good work comes first.
The ABS publishes building approvals for every SA2, an area that often matches one suburb in the cities. Download the SA2 data cube for your state from Building Approvals, Australia and use the value of alterations and additions for 2025-26. It is free, public and the same source for every suburb you compare.
No. Nobody can promise a ranking. Google says local results weigh relevance, distance and prominence, and that there is no way to pay for a better local ranking. A suburb page with something true to say about that suburb is structured to improve local search visibility there. It is not a guaranteed position.
No. The planner runs in your browser and nothing you type is sent to Ampliia or saved. Close the tab and it is gone. Copy the page list before you leave if you want to keep it, or bring it to the 15-minute Discovery Call and we can go through it together.
Bring your list. We build the pages.
