A tiler's website works when it separates the jobs Homeowners search for, shows close up photos of real finished work, and states your waterproofing credentials clearly. Bathroom tiling, outdoor tiling and waterproofing are three different searches with three different buyers. A Build structured that way is A$500 to set up, with a A$100 Deposit to start.
Tiling is judged on detail. So is a tiling website.
Why do tilers lose work they should win?
Because most tiling businesses are only visible through builders.
Plenty of tilers get all their work by subcontracting. It pays the bills and it costs nothing to get. It also means one phone call from one builder can take half your year away, and it means the retail jobs, where the margin is better, never come near you.
Retail Homeowners find tilers by searching. If you are not there, you only ever get the work someone else passes down.
What pages does a tiling website need?
Split it the way people search.
Bathroom tiling. Kitchen splashbacks. Floor tiling. Wall tiling. Outdoor and alfresco tiling. Pool and wet area tiling. Waterproofing. Tile removal and retiling. Large format tiles. Mosaic and feature work. Grout and regrouting. Commercial tiling.
Each of those is a real search with a real person behind it. Someone wanting a splashback replaced has a much smaller job than someone tiling a whole new bathroom, and they should not land on the same page.
Does waterproofing deserve its own page?
It deserves the best page on your site.
Waterproofing failures are the most common defect in Australian residential construction, and Homeowners have heard the horror stories. A wet area that leaks means ripping out a new bathroom.
A page that explains what a compliant waterproofing job involves, which standard it is done to, what membrane you use and what certificate the Homeowner receives at the end does more selling than any photo. It answers the question underneath every bathroom enquiry, which is "will this leak in two years".
If you are licensed or accredited to waterproof, say so on every page, not just that one.
How do you show tiling quality on a website?
Close up, in good light, at the places where bad tiling shows.
Wide shots of a finished bathroom all look the same. What separates a good tiler is the mitred external corner, the grout line that stays consistent across a wall, the cut around a tap, the fall into the floor waste, the silicone bead in the corner.
Photograph those. A page of tight detail shots reads as confidence, because a bad tiler cannot produce them. Add one or two wide shots for context and let the detail do the work.
We do not use stock photos of showrooms and we do not use AI images, so every picture on your site is a job you actually did.
Should you quote tile supply, or labour only?
Say which on the website, because it changes who contacts you.
Some tilers lay tiles the Homeowner has already bought. Some supply and lay. Some will advise on selection but leave the purchase to the client. All three are valid, and all three attract a different enquiry.
Being clear about it, along with whether you handle screeding, waterproofing and tile removal, saves you a pile of calls that were never going to convert and makes the ones you do get much warmer.
Do suburb pages matter for tilers?
Yes. Tiling is local work bought by people who want someone nearby and available.
A page written about bathroom tiling in one suburb, mentioning the typical housing and the kind of renovations that come up there, gives a search engine something specific. A list of suburb names on one page gives it nothing.
Twelve services and twelve suburbs is twenty four pages, which is the shape of a normal Build for us: a real page for each thing you do in each place you do it, structured to improve local search visibility.
What does a tiling website cost?
The Setup Fee is A$500.
A$100 Deposit starts the Build. We take your services, your suburbs, your licence and waterproofing credentials, your logo and your job photos, and build the site. The Preview is ready within 3 business days of the Deposit and your details landing.
You see the whole finished site before anything else is paid. Changes are made until you are happy, with no cap on rounds and no extra charge. The A$400 Balance is due only on Approval. Live after that, usually the same day.
The Care Plan keeps it hosted and looked after. The price depends on the size of the Build and is agreed with you on the call.
Frequently asked questions
Should I put a square metre rate for tiling on my site?
A range helps. Rates change with tile size, layout, substrate and how much preparation is needed, so give a band and say what moves a job within it. Large format tiles, herringbone layouts and old substrates all push a price up.
I get all my work from builders. Do I need a website?
That is the strongest reason to get one. Builder work can stop with one phone call. A site that brings retail enquiries directly gives you a second source of work that nobody else controls.
How many photos do I need to send?
As many as you have. Thirty good detail shots across bathrooms, floors and splashbacks is plenty for a full Build. Phone photos are fine.
Who owns the finished site?
Your domain, logo, photos and words are yours at all times. If you want the site files outright with no Care Plan, the Buyout is A$1,000 any time after Approval.
