A locksmith website has one job above all others: load fast on a phone and put a tap-to-call button in front of someone standing outside their own front door. Lockouts are decided in under two minutes, and whoever answers first gets the job. A Build designed that way, with a page per service and a page per suburb, is A$500 with a A$100 Deposit to start.
No trade is decided faster than this one, and almost no locksmith websites are built for it.
Why is a locksmith website different from every other trade?
Because a large share of your customers are locked out of somewhere while they are searching for you.
They are on a footpath. It might be raining. Their phone battery is at nine percent. They have one hand free. They will look at two results, maybe three, and they will ring the first number they can hit.
Everything else on your site is secondary to that moment. The phone number goes at the top of every page, as a button, sized for a thumb. Not in a header that shrinks on mobile, not in the footer, not as an image. Every Build we do is put together mobile first at 375px for exactly this reason.
Should emergency and planned work be separated?
Yes, because they are two different businesses sharing a van.
Emergency work is lockouts, broken keys, burglary repairs and lost keys. The buyer is stressed, the decision is instant, and the deciding factor is who answers.
Planned work is rekeying, restricted key systems, safes, master key systems, door hardware upgrades, security assessments and commercial contracts. The buyer is calm, comparing, and reading before they ring. That work is worth far more per job.
One page cannot serve both. The emergency pages should be short, fast and phone first. The planned work pages can be long and explain properly.
What services need their own page?
Write one for each thing you get called about.
Emergency lockouts, residential and commercial. Car lockouts and automotive key replacement. Broken key extraction. Lock rekeying. Lock installation and upgrades. Deadlocks and window locks. Restricted key systems. Master key systems. Safes, opening and installation. Digital and keyless locks. Burglary damage repair. Security assessments. Strata and commercial contracts. Rental property lock changes.
Car key replacement in particular deserves real attention. It is high value, people assume only the dealership can do it, and if your page explains which makes and models you can cut and program, you will take work straight off the dealer.
Do you need to display your security licence?
Yes, prominently, on every page.
Locksmithing sits under security industry licensing in most states, and a Homeowner letting a stranger open their front door is making a trust decision under pressure. Your licence number, your insurance and a line about identification checks belong at the top of the site, not buried.
Say what you ask for before you open a door. Explaining that you require proof of residence or ownership is reassuring rather than off-putting, because it tells the reader you would not do it for a stranger either.
Why do suburb pages matter for locksmiths?
Because the only question the customer really has is how fast you can get there.
Search results for urgent local services are heavily weighted by location. A page written about locksmith work in a specific suburb, with an honest indication of how quickly you can usually attend, gives a search engine something specific to match and gives the reader the answer they need.
Fourteen services and twelve suburbs runs past twenty five pages, which is the usual size of one of our Builds, structured to improve local search visibility.
Do not claim a response time you cannot hit. A locksmith who says twenty minutes and turns up in an hour gets a bad review the same day.
Should the website publish callout prices?
At least a starting price and an honest explanation of after hours rates.
The most common complaint about locksmiths anywhere is bill shock. Someone is quoted one figure on the phone and charged another at the door, usually because of after hours loading.
Publishing a standard callout, an after hours callout and a typical range for a lockout removes that entirely. It also positions you against the operators who quote low to win the call and add charges on arrival. Being the one who put the number on the page is a genuine advantage.
What does a locksmith website cost?
The Setup Fee is A$500.
A$100 Deposit starts the Build. We take your services, your suburbs, your security licence details, your logo and your photos, and build the site. The Preview is ready within 3 business days of the Deposit and your details landing.
You see the whole finished site before anything else is paid. Changes are made until you are happy, with no cap on rounds and no extra charge. The A$400 Balance is due only on Approval. Live after that, usually the same day.
The Care Plan keeps the site hosted and looked after. Its price depends on the size of the Build and is agreed with you on the call.
Frequently asked questions
How fast does a locksmith website need to load?
Fast enough to be usable on mobile data with one bar. Every Build we do is mobile first and built light, because a locksmith site that takes six seconds to load has already lost the customer to whoever loaded in two.
Should I list the car makes I can do keys for?
Yes, by make and ideally by year range. People search for their exact car. A page that names the vehicle they are standing next to converts far better than a general automotive page.
Do I need a page for commercial and strata work?
If you want it, yes. Building managers and strata committees are comparing suppliers on paperwork, licensing and reliability, which is a different message from an emergency lockout page.
What if I want changes after seeing the Preview?
You ask, and we make them. There is no cap on rounds and no extra charge. The A$400 Balance is only payable once you approve it.
