An air conditioning website has to handle two opposite buyers: the one calmly pricing a ducted system in spring, and the one whose unit died at 38 degrees on a Saturday. Separate pages for installation, repair and servicing, plus a page per suburb, is what covers both. That Build is A$500, with a A$100 Deposit to start.
Air conditioning is the most seasonal trade in Australia, and the website is what smooths the quiet months.
Why is air conditioning so seasonal, and what does that mean for a website?
Because demand arrives in two spikes and disappears in between.
The first hot week of summer generates more breakdown calls in five days than the previous two months combined. The first genuinely cold week does the same for heating. In between, the phone is quieter than the business needs.
A website helps in both halves. During the spike it catches the overflow while you are on the tools and cannot answer. In the quiet months it captures the planned installations, the servicing and the maintenance agreements that keep the crew busy, because those buyers are researching long before they commit.
What should have its own page?
Split by system and by job, because they are searched separately.
Split system installation. Multi head split systems. Ducted air conditioning installation. Evaporative cooling. Gas ducted heating. Hydronic heating. Air conditioning repairs. Air conditioning servicing and cleaning. Gas leak detection and regassing. Filter and duct cleaning. Thermostat and controller upgrades. Replacement of old systems. Commercial air conditioning. Maintenance agreements.
Someone searching for a ducted system quote and someone searching because their split system is blowing warm air are at completely different stages. One is spending five figures over a month. The other wants a technician today.
Does your ARCtick licence belong on the site?
Yes, on every page.
Handling refrigerant in Australia requires a refrigerant handling licence, and the business needs a refrigerant trading authorisation. Plenty of people quoting air conditioning installs do not hold them.
Display your licence and authorisation numbers, your electrical licence where relevant, and any manufacturer accreditation you hold. Authorised dealer status matters here more than in most trades, because warranty conditions often depend on who did the installation, and Homeowners are told that by the retailer.
A short page explaining what the licence covers and why an unlicensed install can void a manufacturer warranty is useful, and it quietly removes your cheapest competitors from the comparison.
How do you help someone choose the right system?
By writing the advice they are currently getting from a retail salesperson.
The most common question in this trade is what size unit a room needs. The second is whether ducted is worth it over multiple splits. The third is what it costs to run.
Write real pages on those. A sizing guide by room area, an honest comparison of ducted against multi head splits including the cases where splits win, and a plain explanation of star ratings and running costs. Those pages get read for a long time, they get linked to, and they are exactly the kind of clear answer an AI answer engine will quote with your business named as the source.
What should a breakdown page look like?
Short, fast and phone first.
The person reading it is hot, uncomfortable and not in a reading mood. Give them a tap-to-call button at the top, an honest indication of how soon you can attend, a list of the faults you commonly fix on the day, and a couple of things they can safely check themselves first.
Telling someone to check the filter and the circuit breaker before they call does cost you the occasional callout. It also earns the trust that wins the install when their unit finally dies, which is worth far more.
Do suburb pages matter for air conditioning?
Yes, and they can carry genuinely different information.
Housing stock changes what fits. Older weatherboard homes with no ceiling space are split system suburbs. Newer double storey estates are ducted suburbs. Apartments bring body corporate approval into it, which is worth its own paragraph.
Fourteen services and twelve suburbs runs well past twenty five pages, which is the usual shape of one of our Builds. Every page is a real system in a real place, structured to improve local search visibility.
What does an air conditioning website cost?
The Setup Fee is A$500.
A$100 Deposit starts the Build. We take your services, your suburbs, your licence and authorisation numbers, your logo and your job photos, and build the site. The Preview is ready within 3 business days of the Deposit and your details landing.
You see the whole finished site before you pay anything else. Changes are made until you are happy, with no cap on rounds and no extra charge. The A$400 Balance is due only on Approval. Live after that, usually the same day.
The Care Plan keeps the site hosted and looked after month to month. The price depends on the size of the Build and is agreed with you on the call.
Frequently asked questions
Should I publish installation prices?
A from price per system type works well. Say what a standard back to back split install starts at, what a ducted system for an average home usually lands between, and what pushes a job up: long pipe runs, difficult roof access, electrical upgrades and second storey work.
Do maintenance agreements belong on the website?
Yes, on their own page. Recurring servicing is the most valuable thing an air conditioning business can sell, and it is the easiest thing to explain in writing rather than over the phone.
What photos should I use?
Neat installations. A tidy outdoor unit on a proper bracket, clean pipe work with covers, a straight wall mounted head unit. Bad installs are visible to anyone, so good ones are genuinely persuasive. We do not use stock photos or AI images.
How long before the site is live?
The Preview is ready within 3 business days of your A$100 Deposit and your details. Once you approve it, the site usually goes live the same day, depending on your domain.
