Websites for Bricklayers in Australia

A bricklayer's website makes its money on the retail jobs, not the new build contracts. Repointing, crack repair, feature walls, letterboxes, retaining walls and heritage restoration are all searched directly by Homeowners, while new build brickwork comes through builders who never search. A Build with a page per job type and a page per suburb is A$500, with a A$100 Deposit to start.

Most brickies get everything from two or three builders. That works right up until one of them goes quiet.

Why do bricklayers need their own website?

Because subcontract work is somebody else's pipeline, not yours.

When a builder's jobs slow down, your work slows down with them, and you have no way to replace it quickly. There is no phone number to ring, because you have never been the one finding the work.

A website changes that. Retail brickwork is smaller per job but steadier, better paid per hour, and it is yours. It also means a builder who hears your name can look you up and see finished work rather than nothing at all.

What jobs should a bricklaying site have pages for?

The ones Homeowners actually type.

Repointing and mortar repair. Brick crack repair and underpinning support work. Feature and face brick walls. Brick fences and letterboxes. Retaining walls in brick and block. Blockwork. Brick restoration and heritage work. Brick matching and extensions. Chimney repair and rebuilding. Garden and planter walls. Rendering over brick. Brick cleaning.

Twelve pages, each written about that job: what causes the problem, what the fix involves, what affects the price and how long it takes. That is twelve doorways into your business instead of one.

Is repointing worth writing about?

It is probably the single most valuable page you can have.

Older Australian homes shed mortar. The Homeowner sees crumbling joints, worries about the wall, searches "repointing" plus their suburb, and finds almost nothing written by an actual bricklayer. Most of what is there is generic content produced by people who have never held a trowel.

Write the real version. What perished mortar looks like, why it happens, why the wrong mortar mix does damage to old soft bricks, what raking out and repointing involves, and roughly what it costs per square metre. That page will be read, and it is exactly the kind of clear explanation an AI answer engine will quote with your business named.

How do you win heritage and brick matching work?

By proving you can do it, on the page.

Matching old bricks is a specialist skill, and the people who need it are usually anxious. They have an extension going on a 1920s house, or a wall that has to be rebuilt to match, and they have been told by two brickies that it cannot be done properly.

Show it. Before and after photos where the new work is genuinely hard to pick. Explain how you source recycled bricks, how you match mortar colour and joint profile, and what the limits are. Honesty about what cannot be matched builds more trust than claiming everything can.

Do suburb pages matter for bricklayers?

They matter more than average, because the housing stock changes the work.

A suburb full of 1950s double brick generates repointing and crack repair. A new estate generates feature walls, letterboxes and retaining. A suburb page that says which of those you do there, with photos from nearby jobs, is far more useful than a page listing thirty suburb names.

Twelve services and twelve suburbs is twenty four pages, which is the normal shape of one of our Builds. Every page is a real job in a real place, structured to improve local search visibility.

What photos does a brickwork site need?

Close enough to see the joints.

Brickwork is judged on the mortar line. A wide shot of a wall tells nobody anything. A close shot showing consistent joints, clean perpends and a tidy finish tells another tradie and a fussy Homeowner everything.

For repointing and restoration, before and after pairs are essential, because the value is entirely in the comparison. For feature walls, shoot at an angle so the bond pattern reads. We do not use stock photos or AI images, so the site shows your own work.

What does a bricklaying website cost?

The Setup Fee is A$500.

A$100 Deposit starts the Build. We take your services, your suburbs, your licence and insurance details, your logo and your job photos, and build the site. The Preview is ready within 3 business days of the Deposit and your details landing.

You see the whole finished site before anything else is paid. Changes are made until you are happy, with no cap on rounds and no extra charge. The A$400 Balance is due only on Approval. Live after that, usually the same day.

The Care Plan keeps the site hosted and looked after month to month. Its price depends on the size of the Build and is agreed with you on the call.

Frequently asked questions

I only do new build work for builders. Should I still have a site?

Yes, for two reasons. Builders check you before they ring, and retail work gives you something to fall back on when a builder's pipeline dries up. The site costs A$500 once and does both jobs.

How do I price repointing on a website?

Give a range per square metre and say what moves it: scaffold or height access, how hard the old mortar is to rake out, whether the bricks are soft heritage stock and how much of the wall needs doing.

Can I show jobs I did as a subcontractor?

Show your own brickwork, and be accurate about your role. Saying you laid the brickwork on a project is fine. Implying you built the house is not, and a builder will notice.

Do I own the site at the end?

Your domain, logo, photos and words are yours throughout. The A$1,000 Buyout gives you the site files outright at any point after Approval if you would rather not stay on a Care Plan.
